JOHN’S 10TH BIRTHDAY | LIBERTY FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER | COLORFUL PORTRAITS IN HISTORIC DOWNTOWN LIBERTY, MISSOURI

What better way is there to celebrate your 10th? birthday than to frolick around a town that has just as much personality and character as you do?! We chose historical, quirky and colorful downtown Liberty Missouri for a photoshoot that felt more like a birthday party than “just your average shoot.”

John’s mama, Beth, is a loyal client who reaches out multiple times a year to document her children’s birthday milestones. Needless to say, she gets it. Kids grow fast and before you know it, time has slipped between your fingers. 

With that, time can also stand still through the gift of portrait photography. What a joy it is to be entrusted with such meaningful chapters.

I wanted to document John’s special day with playful portraits that exploded with color and enthusiasm. Photos that truly reflected his charismatic personality; outgoing, giggly and hilarious! We chose the Downtown Liberty square area for its wide array of shoot spots that offer movement, texture and vibrancy. From kid themed graffiti walls and urban buildings to squiggly, modern sculptures, we had plenty of options for the perfect shoot spot.

I’m Alli, and I’ve been a Missouri-based photographer for the last 15 years specializing in boutique style maternity, family and newborn photography offering shoots in Kansas City and the surrounding areas such as Leawood, Liberty and St. Joseph. My story  began as a little girl when I picked up a camera out of curiosity. Well, I fell in love because I never put it back down. My heart beats for a good movie, domino’s pizza, traveling and hot air balloons. I’m so passionate about creating artistic imagery and exploring new creative outlets as a photographer.
