Basically, I love to snuggle babies. It is the best reason to be a newborn photographer, that and I am in love with giving my clients beautiful images of their precious babies. It has taken me a long time to figure out new babies. My first sessions were rough, mainly for me. But don’t worry I have never put a baby in danger! I have always been more concerned with baby’s comfort and safety than putting them in a pose they dont like or using a prop that isn’t for them. I used to get frustrated easily and that makes baby frustrated. But now I know how to stay calm, I have perfected my ssshhhh to bounce ratio and I keep my studio toasty so baby is comfy at all times. I love being able to capture those sweet early days of a new baby. I dont get too extravagant with newborns, like all my sessions I like to keep things pretty simple and classic. In studio sessions are posed but not forced or uncomfortable. In home sessions are are more organic and you living life. I try not to treat my clients like props, I want to make sure they are the focus. If baby (or older sibling) isn’t having it, I will move on.
